Jameson Empire Film Awards 2012

So the red carpet beauty I styled for last nights Empire Film Awards was Hayley Atwell. She looked absolutely gorgeous in this beautiful green shift dress by Roksanda Ilincic S/S 12, accessorised with orange fabric 'Uptown' platforms by Sergio Rossi, metal silver and blue leopard 'Cameo' clutch by Jimmy Choo, stunning white diamond 'Hotlips' ring and white diamond 'Mirror Ball' earrings on 18ct blackened white gold by Solange Azagury-Partridge, which perfectly picked up the black metal on the clutch. Ready for Battle

Just when you thought awards season was over another award ceremony pops up (it doesn't all end after the Oscars!) London hosts the Empire Film Awards on sunday night and I am busy in preparation for styling one of the red carpet beauties. Thought I'd post a quick pic of the accessories, all lined up like soldiers, ready to do battle on the night, all vying to be picked for the event. Can't show you the outfit otherwise it wouldn't be a surprise!

The best ankle boots for spring

I have been on a quest for the ultimate pair of nude flat ankle boots for spring. Call off the dogs, the hunt is off, I've found them. These beauties are from All Saints, The Serpent Chelsea Boot in Burnt Coral. I love the craftsmanship and attention to detail, a quality pair of boots made from 100% snakeskin with leather lining and a mixture of leather, rubber, wood and metal sole. Looking forward to wearing these with a pair of rolled up pale denim skinny jeans and girly day dresses.

Marni Madness

After spending the last few days carefully constructing a wish list from the Marni for H&M collection and being poised at 08.59am on my iPhone to pounce on HM.COM, I failed. It wasn't until way after lunch that I finally got to view the collection online to find that it was sold out... gutted. I had a look on EBAY this evening to see if I could find anything reasonable that I could purchase, who was I kidding? As I browsed through the items I felt it all a bit tragic and sad, people buying up as much as they could to sell it on for profit. Not that I'm dissing Ebaying, I totally understand that if you buy or acquire something, and its not right, you sell it on, but this just felt like people were doing it as some sick, soulless sport. Even carrier bags from the store, and worse, VIP Party goody bags from the launch were being sold. You could call me bitter for not getting my hands on the floaty, silk, hot pink, ribbon tie top, but you know I'm right.

Faking It

I'm working on a still life fashion shoot at the moment, for an un-named popular high street store's catalogue, and thought I'd share my franken-yummy mummy with you. If you can't get hold of a maternity mannequin make it yourself! This one is made from a size 10 mannequin, fake bump, 2 bras, chicken fillets, tissue paper and tons of gaffer tape. All that work made me think about the fake pregnancy rumours that dogged Beyonce and Victoria Beckham recently, after playing around with this mannequin so much and trying to make it look realistic in a still photo I can't imagine that either of them would have been able to keep up such an act in real life!
